The cash register is ringing: ‘Zeno Debast brings Anderlecht even more than originally thought’ | Voetbal24

Anderlecht announced on Thursday that it has sold Zeno Debast to Sporting Club de Portugal. The transfer would initially involve an amount of around fifteen million euros. That amount might increase to a sloppy twenty million via bonuses.

Despite the already nice amount, Anderlecht does not necessarily have to stop at twenty million euros. The Portuguese Securities and Exchange Commission (CMVM) has announced the resale percentage in addition to the transfer fee and the bonuses.

That would amount to 15%. In other words, Anderlecht can still do a good deal if Debast is sold for even more money in the future. In addition, CMVM also gave up the buyout clause in addition to the 15% resale percentage: 80 million euros.

So if in the future a club knocks on the door in Lisbon and pays the designated 80 million, Anderlecht will receive a considerable sum extra in the account. At first sight a good deal from the people of Brussels.
