Lawyer Carol Al-Rassi and fellow media agent Nicole Al-Hajal issued a statement regarding the case of Dr. Richard Kharrat, and it stated: “Pursuant to judicial principles and out of respect for the medical profession, my client, Nicole Al-Hajal, chose from the beginning not to disclose the name of the doctor who caused the tragedy that befell her and her family, and she is still in this position. It will not hesitate to follow it up through the invitation submitted to the competent judiciary, which has the final say in this matter, knowing that the Medical Syndicate’s role is limited to disciplinary procedures.”
And the statement added: “In this context, I made it clear that I had initiated the investigation committee in the union to bring additional useful documents in the case, which did not happen despite my request, due to the disturbances in the judicial body.”
The statement concluded: “What is happening outside this case and is related to the aforementioned doctor does not mean my client and she is not a party to it, and we warn anyone who tries to deal with it ill with what is happening with the doctor from the consequences of prosecution.”

Al-Hajl confirmed that she “did not mention the name of the doctor, Kharat, in any issue related to her health status.”
