Following the broadcast of a video on a website dated April 25, 2022 containing false statements by a person who claims to be the victim of physical assault by an officer of the first administrative annex Bousmara (prefecture of the districts of Casablanca-Anfa) and in response to the false information and allegations contained in this video, the prefecture of the districts of Casablanca-Anfa wishes to inform that it has launched an investigation to stop on the details of this incident , so as to specify several data.
In a clarification, the prefecture of the districts of Casablanca-Anfa specifies that “the incidents cited in this video date back to March 28, 2022 (one month before the broadcast of the video) when the agent of authority, who was carrying out his missions of monitoring development projects in the old Medina of Casablanca, was the target of verbal attacks, threats and insults from this man who works as a construction worker” .
“The local authority, and in response to the request of the employer of this man who demanded not to take measures against him given his social and material situation, decided not to prosecute him”, underlines the same source.
But faced with the allegations, which have no foundation, relayed in this video and which contain elements of a criminal nature relating to allegations and false facts for the purpose of defamation, the authorities of the prefecture of the districts of Casablanca-Anfa affirm preserve their right to have recourse to legal proceedings to put in place the necessary legal measures vis-à-vis the person in question.
