The Coalition Avenir Québec, via its Twitter account, warns the public that it is not the source of a fraudulent message sent to several people via text message.
In a publication, the party led by François Legault wishes to alert the population to the fraud.
“A fraudulent text message is currently circulating saying that an amount of $500.00 has been sent to you from us. This is a fraud. Please do not click on the link”, can we read.
Fraudsters begin their message by identifying themselves as the CAQ, then inviting users to activate your access for the eligibility of $500.
The person or persons behind this fraud even invite you to click on a URL link to access the monetary sum.
