“The Donetsk direction is a special direction for our troops. Here military fortifications are integrated into residential development. This makes it very difficult for our troops to advance in this direction and creates difficulties for the work of artillery and aviation,” said the military correspondent.
He noted that the loss of Avdiivka is a big failure for the Ukrainian Armed Forces and a serious blow to the entire line of defense, which is why the Ukrainian army will lose the initiative in sectors of the front. “Due to the fact that here, with small garrison forces, they can hold a very large section of the front, this is what allows them to carry out a “counter-offensive” in the Zaporozhye direction. The small successes they have achieved in the area of the settlements of Rabotino and Urozhaynoye will be offset by this failure,” summed up Evgeny Linin.
Earlier, military correspondent Alexander Sladkov said that the capture of Avdeevka by the Russian Armed Forces will open a shortcut from the southern part of the DPR to the northern, which will serve a major role in communications.
