“Asa’ib” recognizes the capacity of the Sudanese to expel the Americans
Days following Iraqi armed factions announced tough positions regarding the US presence, Asaib Ahl al-Haq leader Qais al-Khazali expressed a position that seemed different in terms of the mechanism for implementing the withdrawal American from Iraq.
Khazali said Friday, during an interview with the “Asaib Ahl al-Haq Movement Political Forum,” that “the withdrawal of American forces is not an easy issue.”
Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani announced from Washington last April that the nature of relations between Baghdad and Washington was gradually evolving, moving from the level of the international coalition to that of bilateral relations.
Iraqi political forces welcomed this announcement as part of their support for the results of the visit.

It was previously reported that the armed factions had entered into a truce not to target Americans in Iraq, but the “Hezbollah Brigades” and “Al-Nujaba” factions have repeatedly expressed their objections.
Al-Khazali explained that “the departure of the occupier requires a popular and political position of rejection,” stressing that “popular positions and resistance factions reject the presence of foreign forces on Iraqi territory.”
Al-Khazali stressed that “the Iraqi position is strong and patriotic and capable of imposing its will and eliminating foreign forces”, and that “the government’s position is uncompromising and results in the withdrawal of foreign forces on a technical basis. »
However, Al-Khazali said, “the Iraqi government insists that the departure date of American forces be based on technical reasons.”
Al-Khazali stressed that “the resistance factions and their operations have sent clear messages to expel the occupier”, and suggested that “it is unlikely that American forces will leave within a few months, and the government is awaiting the opinion of military leaders. .”

“Al-Nujaba” threatens
Although the position of “Asa’ib” seems from the outset different from that of other factions due to its involvement in the political process; Having a parliamentary bloc and a ministry within the government (higher education and scientific research), it still takes a position rejecting the maintenance of the American presence in Iraq in its combat form, but it prefers official frameworks in his relations with the Americans.
Against the backdrop of continuing differences in reactions within armed factions regarding the US presence in Iraq, the importance of Khazali’s statements comes at a time when he and the Al-Nujaba movement have intensified their positions regarding the US presence in Iraq .
The Hezbollah Brigades, through their spokesperson Abu Ali Al-Askari, recently announced that they “perceived no seriousness” regarding the American withdrawal from the country.
Al-Askari went so far as to question what Al-Sudani considers to be the most important Iraqi development project, namely the development road project, recently signed during Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s visit to Baghdad, between Iraq and , Turkey, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
As for Al-Nujaba, relatively attached to the truce with the Americans, following the strike once morest his headquarters, including his satellite office in Damascus, he pledged to respond to Israel, saying in a statement that he would go deep into Israel.
Although the threat affects Israel and not the United States of America, there is often confusion of objectives, whether within Iraq or Syria, making these factions vulnerable to two types of strikes, some of which are carried out by Israel and others by the United States. United States of America which, in recent months, has reached the point of assassinating its top leaders in Iraq and Syria.
