The Cameroonian Minister of Health responds to the allegations of Burkina Faso

Manuda Malakhi, Cameroon’s Minister of Health, has responded to allegations made by the Burkina Faso national team regarding coronavirus tests that have been carried out and raised questions before calling for them to be returned.

And Bertrand Traore, Burkina Faso captain, had spoken of a “scandal” following he revealed that a medical team not from the Confederation of African Football came to test the national team’s players.see details).

The Cameroonian Minister of Health, Dr. Manauda Malakhi, confirmed that all Corona testing procedures fall only within the competence of “sufficient”.

“In accordance with the government’s agreements with the Confederation of African Football, I would like to assure residents that our testing system is still in place,” Manuda Malachi wrote on Twitter.

He added, “On the other hand, the testing of the participating teams in the African nations, officials and delegations is sufficient responsibility that uses a foreign laboratory for this purpose.”

The African Nations Cup begins tomorrow, Sunday, with the Cameroonian national team facing its Burkinabe counterpart.
