The Calzedonia group gets a makeover and becomes Oniverse. The new name reflects the evolution of the company, which is now active in various sectors, from underwear and luxury yachting to fashion and wine.
“In recent years, we have grown a lot, notably thanks to several acquisitions. Today, the group has numerous brands, each with its own identity. This is why we have chosen an independent and autonomous name in relation to the brands of our galaxy,” owner Sandro Veronesi tells FashionNetwork.com.
Oniverse – which is also “the anagram of the Veronesi family name”, specifies the entrepreneur – welcomes under its roof the brands Intimissimi, Tezenis, Falconeri, Atelier Emé and the Italian wine company Signorvino. Among the latest arrivals under his control are the haute couture house Antonio Marras and the luxury yacht builder Cantiere del Pardo.
The group founded in 1986 in Verona achieved a turnover of 3 billion euros in 2022, with more than 5,300 mono-brand stores in 56 countries. Veronesi, the current president and majority shareholder, took first place in the fashion category among the companies included in Pambianco’s 2023 ranking, ahead of Armani and Golden Goose.
