At Café Columbia in Kisa, things didn’t quite go as planned.

Saturday’s buns were filled with aioli instead of vanilla cream.

– It’s still a bit embarrassing, says Sofia Forsberg.

The reason for the incident is that Sofia Forsberg simply mixed up the vanilla cream with the homemade aioli, she writes herself on the cafe’s Facebook page.

– I was a little stressed already at the beginning of the day, and they are about the same color, she says.

Sofia Forsberg only managed to sell a few before customers discovered the different filling.

She usually tells her staff that you always have to taste everything that the customers are going to eat to know that it tastes good.

– Now I walked into my own trap, she says.

Sofia says that the customers who bought the garlic semlan took it all with a good laugh. Those affected will get their money back or a new roll, promises Sofia Forsberg.

Nya semmel this year

They run who also noted Sofia’s miss, writes that a customer thought the semlan was good and suggested that they top the semlan with some shrimp.

Something Sofia took notice of. During the afternoon, the staff tested a semla with prawns and aioli – topped with dill.

– We thought it was really good. It might be our next big thing. The shrimp from Kisa, haha, says Sofia Forsberg to the newspaper.
