The Brussels ring will be closed at Zaventem from this Saturday 8 p.m. until Sunday 2 p.m. to allow the installation of a bridge which might cause serious disturbances. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
The purpose of the project is to continue replacing the old bridge on Avenue Hector Henneau, which has become dangerous, with two new bridges installed side by side. The new structure is the size of half a football field (100 meters long and more than 27 meters wide).
To ensure the safety of road users and workers, this impressive phase of the construction site will require the closure of the ring road and the bridge.
The replacement site for this bridge began at the end of April 2021 and should be completed in April 2024.
