The Bruckner Spring celebrates 100 years of the Brucknerbund Ansfelden

On May 11th, 7:30 p.m., Anton Bruckner’s Seventh Symphony will be performed in the chamber version for nine instruments by Hanns Eisler, Karl Stein and Erwin Rankl in the parish church.

A “Bruckner Salon” in the Anton Bruckner Center at 6 p.m. will be dedicated to the anniversary and his birthplace with violist and conductor Peter Aigner – chairman of the Ansfelden Bruckner Association – as well as Norbert Trawöger, artistic director of the OÖ KulturEXPO Anton Bruckner 2024, and exiled music researcher, author and pianist Karin Wagner (free entry).

The Bruckner Spring opens on May 9th, 9 a.m., with a musical service in the Ansfelden parish church, where it ends on May 12th: the Anton Bruckner church choir, soprano Gabriele Holzner and organist Maria Kürner under the direction of Birgit Buck the celebratory service at 9 a.m.

A workshop for children with Nicole Heibl and Lisa Quittner will be held at the Ansfelden rectory on May 10th at 9:30 a.m.
