The Bruckner Orchestra’s concert cycle enters the finale

LINZ. Under the title #FIVE Dvořák’s Eighth, the Bruckner Orchestra Linz’s own series of concerts on Friday, June 10, is approaching the final act of this season. There are still tickets left.

After Verdi’s Requiem and Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony, the Bruckner Orchestra meets two extraordinary musicians who, despite their young age, have long been stars in the classical music sky. Julia Hagen and Emmanuel Tjeknavorian play the double concerto by Johannes Brahms. It was Brahms’ last orchestral composition, premiered under his baton in 1887.

The second part features Antonín Dvořák’s 8th symphony. The composer saw his folklore and landscape-inspired symphony, which still inspires with its melodic richness, as “a work different from his other symphonies”. He also conducted the premiere himself in Prague in 1890.

The concert starts at 7.30 p.m. At 6:45 p.m., Artistic Director Norbert Trawöger and Chief Conductor Markus Poschner invite you to the concert introduction on “The Red Couch”.
