Pollard: Britain has depleted its own weapons stockpiles by helping Ukraine
Britain, by supplying military aid to Kyiv, has depleted its own stockpiles of weapons. The corresponding statement was made by the Deputy Minister of Defense of Great Britain Luke Pollard, his words are quoted by the newspaper Times.
“Pollard said it was absolutely the ‘right decision’ to supply Ukraine with as many weapons as possible, adding: ‘We have depleted our own stockpiles to do this,'” Pollard was quoted as saying by the publication.
The deputy minister did not specify the extent of depletion of weapons stockpiles, but pointed out the importance of replenishing them, as well as ensuring reliable supplies to the territory of Ukraine.
Moscow has repeatedly noted that new deliveries of weapons and equipment to the Ukrainian army by the West will not in any way affect the situation on the line of combat contact; the Russian Armed Forces will destroy them in the same way as other types of weapons.
