The brilliant Sète painter Hervé Di Rosa enters the prestigious Academy of Fine Arts!

On Wednesday, November 23, the prestigious Academy of Fine Arts elected Hervé Di Rosa to chair IV of the “painting” section, in the seat previously occupied by Jean Cortot. A consecration (one more!) for the brilliant artist from Sète.

A Sétois at the Academy of Fine Arts, and not the least amazing! On Wednesday, during its plenary session, the institution elected Herve Di Rosa in armchair IV of the “painting” section previously occupied by Jean Cortot.

For the record, the mission of the prestigious Académie, a freely administered descendant of the royal academies established in the 17th century and an advisory body to the public authorities, is to “contribute to the defense and illustration of the artistic heritage of France, as well as to its development, while respecting the pluralism of expressions”.

No women

Our brilliant, relentless and committed painter, popular hero of Free Figuration, unrepentant creator of monsters of joy and freedom, and cantor of modest arts joins Yves Millecamps, Philippe Garel, Gérard Garouste, Jean-Marc Bustamante, Fabrice Hyber and Ernest Pignon -Ernest.

If this section does not welcome, as you have noted, any woman, the Academy of Fine Arts elected during this same session, the American photographer Annie Leibovitz as a foreign associate member in chair V previously occupied by the Sino architect -American Ieoh Ming Pei. In the meantime, congratulations to the Sète friend!
