Alim Dar, Pakistan’s most renowned umpire, has officially retired from international cricket, ending his long career with the Bangladesh and Ireland Test matches.
Last month, Pakistani umpire Aleem Darna announced his withdrawal from the elite panel of the International Cricket Council (ICC).
However, he last umpired in the one-off Test between Bangladesh and Ireland from April 4 to 7.
Aleem Dar’s illustrious career came to an end with the victory of Bangladesh and the end of the match, Aleem Dar was also given a guard of honor by the Bangladesh and Ireland team on the occasion of his retirement.

It should be noted that Aleem Dar performed the duties of umpiring in 439 international matches, which is a world record, he supervised 145 Tests, 225 ODIs and 69 T20 matches.
Aleem Dar was the first Pakistani umpire to join the ICC Elite Panel. He joined the elite panel of umpires in 2004.
Apart from this, Aleem Dar won the best umpire award three times consecutively from 2009 to 2011.
