It is through a press release that the Political Bureau of the Republican Bloc (Br) congratulated the new leadership team of the Progressive Union (Up) and its new president, Joseph Djogbénou, appointed on Saturday July 16, 2022 in Cotonou. The Republican Bloc has taken note of the election of a new Bureau at the head of the Progressive Union, following the extraordinary meeting held this Saturday, July 16, 2022, in Cotonou.
On behalf of the Politburo and all the activists of the Republican Bloc, I extend our most sincere congratulations to the new leadership team of the Progressive Union and more particularly to its president, Professor Joseph Djogbénou. I wish him a successful tenure.
At the same time, I pay a vibrant tribute to outgoing President Bruno Amoussou, whose leadership and vision have enabled Up to be an important player in the reform of the party system; I wish him every success in his future endeavours.
Confident that the newly elected Bureau will continue to work for the success of the reform of the partisan system and the strengthening of democracy in our country, I would like to reassure him of the availability of the Political Bureau and of all the activists of the Republican Bloc to continue the collaboration with the Progressive Union.
