The Boys Crossover in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (2022) and Warzone 2.0 Sparks Controversy and Gameplay Issues

In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (2022) and Warzone 2.0, a crossover with The Boys series started yesterday, which caused various problems for the players and angered many users. As part of the event, three characters from the series were added to the game – Homelander, Black Noir and Starlight. In addition, the superpowers of the heroes were included in the shooter, such as jumping great distances and shooting lasers from the eyes. The latter just became one of the main problems, since the abilities of the characters turned out to be too powerful, greatly upsetting the balance on the battlefield. In particular, this applies to the very laser, which can eliminate enemies very easily – a high level of armor will not help either. At the same time, Warzone 2.0 players complained that there were too many upgrades with superpowers on the map – this only adds to the chaos of the battles. Some people just think that the appearance of “The Boys” in MW2 is inappropriate in terms of the style of play. Users even asked the authors to highlight superpowers in a separate mode. In addition, the fans were not too happy with the new shotgun, which also turned out to be too powerful. Also, with the release of the new update, players are experiencing performance issues in Warzone 2.0 on PC, when the frame rate can drop to 40-50 FPS (sometimes even lower). The developers have already reported that they are studying technical flaws, but the solution has not yet appeared.
