An accident occurred recently in the Tianle Lake Tourist Resort in Yizheng City, Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province. A boy fell into the water while playing aerial sports. His father accidentally drowned when he went into the water to rescue him. According to comprehensive land media reports, a netizen posted a video on the 9th saying that in the Tianle Lake Tourist Resort in Yangzhou, Jiangsu, a boy fell into the water while playing an amusement project. He was rescued, but unfortunately his father drowned. According to the online video, the accident is suspected to be a high-altitude zipline (high-altitude swing bridge) project, which is about a few meters above the water surface.
According to public information, Tianle Lake Tourist Resort is located in Yizheng City, Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province. It is a comprehensive large-scale resort town that provides services such as green catering, accommodation, outdoor recreation, conference affairs, and training. The annual card play items released on the WeChat public account of the resort include high-altitude ziplines (high-altitude hanging bridges), go-karts, and Ferris wheels.
In this regard, the person in charge of the resort surnamed Cui said that at around 3 p.m. on April 9, a child accidentally drowned, wearing a life jacket and floating on the water, and his father went into the water to rescue him. The staff immediately stepped forward to rescue and called the police. The child was rescued, but the father was not found. The deputy director of Yizheng Municipal Bureau of Culture, Sports, Radio, Television and Tourism said that the child was wearing a life jacket, but the father on the shore did not wear it. He suspected that he could not swim, and unfortunately drowned.
As for why the child fell into the water while playing the project? The deputy director said that the specific reason is still unclear. According to his understanding, tourists will wear safety ropes when they play the project. This kind of incident has never happened in the scenic spot before. It is reported that the operation of the project where the accident occurred has been suspended, and the relevant departments have requested Tianle Lake Tourist Resort to carry out rectification, and the investigation and handling are still in progress.
