  • My Neighbors, the Yamadas (1999)

  • Spirited Away (2001)
  • Kingdom of Cats (2002)
  • The Animated Castle (2004)

  • Marnie’s Memoirs (2014)
  • Aya and the Witch (2020)
  • The Boy and the Crane (2023)

In a statement, Elizabeth Bannan Atcheson, vice president of content acquisitions at Warner Bros. Discovery, commented on the agreement:

Our subscribers are always looking for unique stories, and we are happy to continue offering these award-winning and critically acclaimed films and add ‘The Boy and the Crane’ to our deep and rich Max content offering.

Unfortunately, Max has not yet confirmed when the Oscar-winning animation will be released on its platform, but for now the film is only available in theaters.

It is worth remembering that the agreement signed to show the films in the United States, Max has not yet commented on whether it will also do the same for the platform in Brazil, but this would be a great addition to the catalog. Studio Ghibli films are currently available on Netflix.
