The Boston Red Sox End Losing Streak at Tropicana Field with 7-3 Victory

TAMPA BAY — Triston Casas homered and drove in four runs, Brayan Bello leads the team with its 11th win and the Boston Red Sox snapped a 13-game losing streak at Tropicana Field with a 7-3 victory Monday over the Tampa Bay Rays.

Boston’s streak in the dome began on April 23, 2022.

Wilyer Abreu doubled to lead off the sixth before Justin Turner drew a one-out walk and ended the day for Aaron Civale. Chris Devenski (3-4) came on and gave up Casas’ three-run shot that put the Red Sox up 4-3.

Casas added a run-scoring single and Masataka Yoshida connected for two runs off Andrw Kittredge in the eighth to make it 7-3. Casas has three home runs and 11 RBIs on an 11-game hitting streak.

Bellos (11-8) allowed three runs, all in the first inning, as well as five hits in six innings.

Civale, who was acquired from Cleveland on July 31, allowed three runs, two hits and three walks while striking out a career-high 12 players on 98 pitches.
