The Boston Consulting Group will be responsible for the development study of the PDR of the Casablanca-Settat region

The call for tenders launched by the Regional Project Execution Agency (AREP) for the realization of the study relating to the development program of the Casablanca-Settat region for the period 2022-2027, was awarded to the BCG firm, for an amount of 8.64 MDH. The PDR will be developed using a participatory approach over an overall period of 9 months, comprising 5 phases.

The Council of the Casablanca-Settat Region, had organized, on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at the headquarters of the Region, an information and consultation meeting on the preparation of the Regional Development Program (PDR), in application of the provisions Organic Law No. 111-14 relating to the regions, and Decree No. 2-16-299 setting the procedure for drawing up the PDR.

During this meeting, a presentation was made on the preparation of this strategic roadmap for the period 2022-2027 which must be developed using a participatory approach over an overall period of 9 months comprising 5 phases: Evaluate the implementation of the RDP 2016-2021 and the main lessons to be drawn from it; Update the territorial diagnosis and the information necessary for the development of the new RDP, taking into account the projects carried out and establishing a national and international benchmark for the exercise of the Region’s powers;

Update the strategic vision taking into account the current context of the crisis and the main orientations of the New Development Model, define the main strategic orientations and develop action programs in consultation with the stakeholders; Establish a contractual framework with the other stakeholders and define an appropriate mode of governance for each project; Drafting and signing of partnership agreements and the State-Region contract.
