The booster vaccination campaign deployed from mid-August

The Ministry of Health and Social Services (MSSS) has announced that the vaccination campaign to offer a new booster dose to priority clienteles began on August 15 in several living environments welcoming elderly or vulnerable people. As with previous vaccination campaigns, teams will be deployed in living environments such as residential and long-term care centers (CHSLDs). It is therefore not necessary to make an appointment on Clic Santé for these clienteles. In an update to the advisory concerning vaccination once morest COVID-19 in the fall of 2022, the CIQ recommends, as a starting scenario, the vaccination of people according to the first priority groups determined since the start of vaccination once morest COVID-19: people residing in CHSLDs, private residences for seniors (RPA) or living in other collective settings with a high proportion of seniors and vulnerable people; people aged 60 and over, starting with people aged 80 and over; people aged 5 and over who are immunocompromised or on dialysis, or living with a chronic illness; healthcare workers; pregnant women; adults living in remote areas, following discussion with public health authorities and community representatives. Note that it is recommended to receive this dose five months following the previous dose, regardless of the number of booster doses received to date.
