“The Book of Solutions”, the new film by Michel Gondry, unveiled its first trailer on August 8. Pierre Niney embodies a manic-depressive and bipolar director struggling with his demons. Seven years after the release of “Microbe and Gasoil”, and while he is currently working on a biopic of Pharrell Williams, he has just unveiled the first trailer for his new film, “The Book of Solutions”, which will be released in theaters on September 13.
We discover Pierre Niney freewheeling there. The actor plays a manic-depressive and bipolar filmmaker who has trouble channeling his creativity, a character directly inspired by Michel Gondry.
“I prepared it a lot with Michel, seeing videos of him at the time in depressive phases and manic phases, therefore phases of delirium”, explained in May Pierre Niney at the microphone of Canal+on the occasion of the presentation of the film at the Directors’ Fortnight during the Cannes Film Festival.
