A few words about the book:
A book about friendship, but also about the feelings that we close inside and over time burden us, such as
anxiety, sadness, fear.
talk to me…
AN was always a smiling girl. One day she found a pebble on the road and took it with her. As time passed, the little gem started to become unbearable, it tired her a lot, but she didn’t know how to tell those around her. But then she met a wonderful new friend, who helped her to… talk about what was weighing on her.
Thus, AN was able to realize that our biggest burdens become lighter when we share them with those who love us, see us, understand us.
And if we find a way to make them useful, they bear fruit that help others as well.

**Interview with Marina Giotis on Her New Children’s Book “Speak to Me”**
**Interviewer**: Thank you for joining us today, Marina! We’re excited to hear about your new book “Speak to Me.” Could you tell us what inspired you to write this story?
**Marina Giotis**: Thank you for having me! The inspiration for “Speak to Me” came from my desire to explore the themes of friendship and communication among children. I wanted to create a story that not only entertains but also encourages kids to express themselves and share their feelings with others.
**Interviewer**: That sounds wonderful. The book has a focus on overcoming the things that weigh us down emotionally. How do you approach this theme in your writing?
**Marina Giotis**: In “Speak to Me,” the characters face challenges that can feel heavy—like insecurities or misunderstandings. Through their journey, I aim to show readers the importance of opening up and talking about these burdens. The interactive aspect of the book allows children to engage directly with the story, helping them to think about their own feelings and friendships.
**Interviewer**: I see that there’s an interactive book party planned in Patras at the Gonia tou Viblio bookstore. What can attendees expect from this event?
**Marina Giotis**: Yes, I’m really looking forward to the event! It will be a fun and engaging experience where kids and parents can come together. We will have readings, activities based on the book’s themes, and a chance for everyone to share their thoughts. It’s all about creating a supportive environment where we can talk about friendship and feelings.
**Interviewer**: What age group do you think will benefit most from “Speak to Me”?
**Marina Giotis**: The book is aimed at children aged 5 to 10, but I believe that its messages are universal. Adults can benefit from revisiting these lessons about communication and emotional honesty as well.
**Interviewer**: That’s a great approach. The event is on November 3rd at 11:30 am, and it’s free. How can people secure their spots?
**Marina Giotis**: They can simply call the bookstore at 2610 223688 to reserve their seats. I encourage everyone to come—it’s going to be a delightful morning filled with stories and laughter!
**Interviewer**: Thank you so much for your time, Marina. We wish you the best of luck with the launch of “Speak to Me.”
**Marina Giotis**: Thank you! I can’t wait to share this journey with everyone.
