The megaconcert of the Bonita Fair 2023, which had as its main event the presentation of the singer Carlos Vives, and in which a dozen national and international artists would participate, had to be suspended, when it was already taking place at the Alfonso López stadium in Bucaramanga.
The event had begun as planned this Saturday, September 9, however, a drizzle that had begun to fall at the end of the afternoon over Bucaramanga intensified to the point that around 11:00 p.m. it became so strong that , that with just a couple of artists who had appeared, the organization suspended the mega-event.
After almost an hour of suspension, and while it continued to rain on the thousands of attendees, a spokesperson for the organization took the microphone on stage and made the announcement.
“Due to force majeure, due to the heavy rain, unfortunately we have to reschedule the mega-concert. We do it for the safety of the artists, everyone is in Bucaramanga, but they cannot perform in these weather conditions, we will notify the new date in advance,” said the organizer.
There were still eight artists to perform.
Given the rejection and complaints from attendees, the same spokesperson announced that those who want a refund of the money for the tickets will be able to request it starting next Monday, through the same platform on which they were sold.
The stadium lights turned on and the thousands of event attendees had to leave the sports arena.
