The British opera has suspended planning for Bolshoi performances scheduled for this summer, “in view of the current situation”.
The Royal Opera House in London announced on Friday that it has canceled performances of the renowned Bolshoi Ballet scheduled for this summer, due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
“A summer season of the Bolshoi Ballet at the Royal Opera House was in the final planning stages. Regrettably, given the current situation, the season cannot take place,” the Covent Garden opera house said in a statement.
