The Bolivian Police recover the vehicles of the Venezuelan Embassy that were sold by the ‘diplomats’ of Guaidó

According to the Bolivian Government Minister, Eduardo del Castillo, between 2019 and 2020, 34 units were sold, “sold illegally”.

The Bolivian Police announced this Monday the recovery of 15 vehicles belonging to the Venezuelan Embassy that had been sold by the ‘diplomats’ appointed by the opposition leader Juan Guaidó, whose delegation was recognized by the then de facto president, Jeanine Áñez, who came to the Executive after the coup against Evo Morales.

Thus, an act was carried out to return the keys to the legitimate representatives of Venezuela.

According to the Bolivian Government Minister, Eduardo del Castillo, between 2019 and 2020 34 units were sold, “illegally sold”. Among them, there are vans, two cars, a bus, five vans, seven motorcycles, two minibuses and two trucks. This, added to vehicle documentation, a firearm and cartridges with ammunition.

In addition, the disappearance of a communication antenna was reported, which was returned to its origin by Radio Chacaltaya personnel. In this regard, it is believed that those responsible would have left it to a doorman, and that no one claimed.

Del Castillo indicated that the shortages were denounced by Venezuela when the current members of its Embassy, ​​who recovered their status after Luis Arce came to power, made an inventory. Then, the Bolivian authorities carried out various raids.

“We are going to continue with the investigations to find the other vehicles that were stolen,” said Del Castillo. And he concluded: “We hope as soon as possible to find all the people involved in this shameful fact which is unfortunate for the history of the diplomacy of both peoples”.
