“We are happy to return with our Musical Training Project to presence in the localities, it has been a challenge for us to maintain our attention throughout the pandemic, due to the difficulties that many beneficiaries presented due to access to connectivity. Returning to these face-to-face spaces allows children, especially those in a more vulnerable situation, to have spaces where they feel safe and can continue their musical training as part of their comprehensive education,” said David García, General Director of the Philharmonic Orchestra. from Bogota.
Beneficiaries of this program will be able to access introductory musical, choral/vocal, creation, percussion and other symphonic instrument classes such as violin, clarinet or trumpet, among others, free of charge.

They can also be part of musical groups such as orchestras, choirs, children’s and junior bands of the Bogotá Philharmonic Orchestra. It is not essential that the boys and girls have previous knowledge of music, they just need to demonstrate a link with some of the localities where the program is located and have a great desire to learn.
“With our Musical Training Project we want to contribute to the development of human, cultural and artistic skills, which favor the practice of human rights, peace and integral development. We offer an enriched learning experience around music, building bonds of solidarity with the family and the community, placing the beneficiaries at the center of the process, which promotes lifelong learning and empowerment as citizens, for the consolidation of citizenship with full rights in the society of the 21st century”, highlighted David García.
