The Public Prosecution announced that it was investigating the death of the student, Menna Tamer, who fell from the floor of a school in Agouza.
The Public Prosecution Office said in a statement, Monday, that it had started an investigation into a notification it received from the Agouza Police Department of the death of a second-grade student when she was in her school following she fell from the third floor in which her classroom is located.
The prosecution said that as soon as it received the report, it moved to the school, and took several measures, including: inspecting it, keeping the monitoring devices there for examination, and questioning witnesses to the incident.
The Public Prosecution asked seven witnesses of the incident, three of whom were female colleagues of the victim, and their version agreed that the child had been crying repeatedly since this morning in the desire of her mother to attend, which prompted some teachers to calm her down. In his seat, the child took advantage of his preoccupation and slipped out of the classroom once morest the third-floor fence, and one of the girls and the mother of one of the students saw with their eyes the child was running out of the classroom without anyone following her, and that she climbed and fell off the fence.
The Public Prosecution Office moved to discuss the body of the girl, and her injuries were found. She asked her parents and decided to accuse school officials of negligence in supervising their daughter, which led to her death.
The Public Prosecution asked the teacher present to separate the victim at the time of the incident, and he decided that he was surprised by her rushing out of the room as she carried her backpack and climbed the fence, so he asked her to come down, but she lost her balance and fell.
The Public Prosecution stressed that it is still continuing the investigation procedures for a statement of how and why the incident occurred, and the identification of those responsible for it.
