The body of a woman was discovered Friday followingnoon in the Le Renne river near the municipality of Acton Vale, in Montérégie, and would correspond to that of a septuagenarian who has been missing since December 6.
Sûreté du Québec search teams found the body around 2 p.m., it was indicated in a press release.
“Everything suggests that it is Ms. Nicole Morin Dumont, who had been missing since Wednesday,” said the provincial police.
The 77-year-old was last seen last Wednesday in Acton Vale while on her way on foot.
