The body found in the Meuse à Legs is indeed that of the cyclist

The Public Prosecutor’s Office of Namur confirmed it: the body found in the Meuse at Legs on Friday is indeed that of the cyclist who fell on Wednesday. He had been fished out by Civil Protection divers.

These are the images of the cameras which made it possible to confirm that the body found Friday in the Meuse à Legs is indeed that of the cyclist who fell two days earlier in the water. “In the images, we see him cycling just before he fell into the water. The skin color, the clothes correspond to those found on the body of the victim, “said the press magistrate at the Namur prosecutor’s office.

The time during which the body remained in the water also confirms this correlation between the cyclist and the body recovered by the divers of the Civil Protection of Crisnée.

An external review was carried out. It helped determine the cause of death. The unfortunate man drowned. However, investigators have still not been able to identify him. No relatives came forward.

A press notice will soon be issued by the federal police.
