According to the official announcement from the press office of the Israeli Prime Minister, the meeting was positive and was held in a good atmosphere.
“The prime minister reiterated Israel’s commitment to the current US offer to release our hostages, which takes into account Israel’s security needs, which he strongly insists on,” the statement said.

Earlier, during a meeting with Israeli President Isaac Herzog, Blinken once again stressed the urgent need for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
“Perhaps our last chance for a cease-fire agreement in Gaza” said the American Foreign Minister, signifying a dramatic “bell”.
“There is no more important humanitarian cause than the return of our hostages,” emphasized Israeli President Isaac Herzog, during a meeting with Anthony Blinken.
“The world must understand that everything starts with Hamas’s refusal to advance,” Herzog emphasized.
“We remain very optimistic that we can move forward with the negotiations being conducted by the mediators,” he added, thanking the United States, Egypt and Qatar for their efforts.
The Israeli president also referred to the continued and significant support of the US to Israel as it aims “for peace and a better future in the Middle East, against the empire of evil, which starts and emanates from Tehran.”
For his part, the American Foreign Minister pointed out that this is “a defining moment, perhaps our best and last chance for the hostages to return home, to achieve a truce and ensure a better and safer path for peace in the region”.
Blinken, who is making his ninth visit to Israel since the Gaza war broke out on October 7, pointed out that Washington is also working to ensure there is no escalation of tension in the region amid concerns over a possible Iranian attack on of Israel following the neutralization of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran in July.
The American Foreign Minister is expected to meet with Defense Minister Yoav Gallad next.
