The Moroccan version of the “blind dating” program sparked widespread controversy among social media users, due to the bold idea presented by the program, in addition to the revealing dress in which the “heroine” of the first episode appeared.

The circulating video shows a young woman choosing the “knight of her dreams” from among 5 young men based on his clothes and some of the questions she asks. At the end of each round, she eliminates one of them, leaving only one young man in the end.

This video spread widely across social media platforms, achieving record viewing rates in just two days. Moroccan activists also launched a major wave of criticism, stressing that the content of this video is inconsistent with Moroccan values.

In this context, one of the activists said on social media: “We must be aware that what may seem wonderful and “cool” in one country does not necessarily look the same way in other countries.”

She added, “Most of the programs that invade television channels in developed countries are directly related to their history and culture, which are far from our history and culture. “When we understand these two things, perhaps our eyes can rest from seeing such surreal scenes.”

As one of the pioneers confirmed on the “Facebook” application: “The most dangerous thing is that you entered the idea of ​​a foreign program (blind dating by outfits) based on different ideas and a different culture, and you bring and direct the direct projection without modifying it and without taking into account the traditions and customs of your country. And the huge number of Diallo’s followers has increased, which means that every time something new is introduced into this country, Dial Lowell is more exposed to reality.”

Many activists have called for the necessity of holding those responsible for this program accountable because the latter conveys dangerous ideas that would destroy the structure of “conservative” Moroccan society.
