The black-and-white Jiří Lábus rules the Crematorium, but the references to Rumburak or Jů do not work very well in the new series

“I’m weird. But how am I supposed to do it if I’m late for a date and truthfully say that I had to help wash a corpse at home?” asks teenage Nikola at the beginning of the first episode.

He is from a family of owners of a private crematorium and soon after learns about the death of his great-uncle Jiří Lábus. The family then organizes a funeral for the well-known Czech actor in the role of himself in the crematorium – only to find him completely alive in his kitchen the next morning. And also black and white.

After him, other dead people start to appear in the Záhorskés’ kitchen. In the meantime, daughter Nikola is dealing with relationship problems with her boyfriend Karl, and Jiří Lábus is reminiscing about his acting career.

And that’s really all. After watching the first episode, the series seems somewhat different
