Paris wore haute couture uniforms
Mongolia:
The Mongolian haute couture brand Michel & AmazonkThe uniforms feature extensive embroidery: birds representing freedom, mountains and the nation’s hard work, gold and silver accents for a touch of elegance, and Mongolia’s national colors of blue, red and white.
Haiti:
Paying tribute to her Haitian roots, the designer Stella Jean collaborated with Haitian artist Philippe Dodard to incorporate art into pieces that are both pragmatic and elegant. For women, a full skirt with a chambray shirt woven in Haiti. For men, a guayabera-inspired jacket, a classic Haitian shirt and classic trousers.
China:
One of the most understated uniforms. Designer Justin Chou called on a team of artists from the Chinese region of Taipei to design the uniforms with hand-made flowers. The style, in his own words, reflects “the spirit of culture, art, craftsmanship and sustainability.”
Ralph Lauren did a great job in uniforming the American team. Inspired by the classic wardrobe of his country, the designer created a capsule collection that shapes the American way of life in the sporty and casual sphere.
Filipinas:
It is a clean, pure white shirt for the top and black trousers with formal footwear on the bottom. Designed by FRancis Libirian, the centerpiece is the barong “Sinag.” That sort of harness you see on the outfit, made of piña-jusi fabric, embroidered with sun shapes and warrior patterns. The perfect mix of bravery, pride and beauty.
