The best restaurants in Latin America will be announced on November 26

This will be the second consecutive year that Brazil’s most iconic city hosts the awards gala, as in 2023 Rio hosted the event where Lima-based Peruvian restaurant Maido was announced as the best in Latin America.

On November 14, twelve days before the gala at the Roxy Theatre, the contest organizers will reveal the list of restaurants that ranked between 51st and 100th on the list of the best this year.

This year’s 50 best restaurants in Latin America will be chosen by 300 anonymous judges, including chefs, food journalists and gourmets, each of whom will have to select ten establishments they have visited in the last year that are not from their country.

The organizers also said that for the twelfth edition of the award they hired the consulting firm Deloitte as an official and independent arbitration partner.

The 24th place was occupied by the Guatemalan restaurant Sublime.

Mercado 24, also from Guatemala City, ranked 49th on this list of the Best 50 Restaurants in Latin America.

While the Guatemalan restaurant Diacá was ranked 52nd.
