The 2023 Pokémon World Championships, hosted by The Pokémon Company International, have come to a close following three days of intense battles and friendly competition in Yokohama, Japan. During this annual event, the best Trainers in the world participated in the Pokémon Video Game and Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) competitions. Video games Pokemon Scarlet et Pokemon Purplethe Pokémon TCG, Pokémon GO et Pokémon UNITE were on the program for this year’s event. More than 10,000 players and fans from all over the world gathered at the PACIFICO Yokohama center to participate in or attend the most prestigious Pokémon event. Time Past and Time Future Pokémon as well as the cards HIGH-TECH coming soon in the Pokémon Trading Card Game
On August 13, during the Closing Ceremony, The Pokémon Company also unveiled new cards and game mechanics in the popular Pokémon TCG. Beginning in Fall 2023, Trainers will see the appearance of Time Past and Time Future Pokémon in the Pokémon TCG, including Roar-Moon-ex, Iron-Guard-ex, and “rare illustration” cards from Fungus-Fury and Iron-Moth. Additionally, the cards HIGH-TECHwhich were first introduced in Black & White, will return to the Standard format in 2024. More details will be available soon.
The starting Pokémon of the previous opuses appear in The Buried Treasure of Zone Zero, Volume 2: The Indigo Disc
New information regarding The buried treasure of Zone Zerothe DLC of Pokemon Scarlet or pokemon purple, were unveiled at the closing ceremony. Starter Pokémon from previous installments of the main series will appear in the Blueberry Institute’s Terra-Dome, where the events of the Volume 2: The Indigo Disc. The Terra-Dome is a complex housing various biomes (tropics, icy seas) where many different Pokémon live and thrive in the habitat best suited to their needs. You can face these Pokémon to try to add them to your team and at the same time discover the effects of Teracrystallization (a phenomenon already known to players of Pokemon Scarlet et Pokemon Purple) on these Pokémon. The existence of a 19th Teracrystal type was also announced, as well as an upcoming compatibility between the game and Pokémon HOME.
Update to Pokémon UNITE
Three Pokémon will soon enter the competition in Pokémon UNITE: Braségali, Mimiqui and Miascarade.
