VivaTech, the largest European event dedicated to start-ups and tech, is in the starting blocks to open its doors to the best of innovation, ecosystems, stakeholders and economic decision-makers from more than 120 countries.
In 2024, Paris will once once more be at the center of the world. Sporty because of the Olympic Games of course but also technological since the French capital will open the doors to the eighth edition of VivaTech from May 22 to 25, 2024. Faster, higher, stronger: the Olympic motto fits perfectly with the spirit of this largest European event dedicated to start-ups and tech, which brings together all the excitement of the ecosystem with world-first innovations. In 2023, VivaTech had already experienced record attendance, surpassing the bar of 150,000 visitors from 174 countries for the first time.

120 countries represented in 40 pavilions
According to François Bitouzet, general director of the event, “ innovation is experiencing a real boom, driven by AI, by positive impact challenges and by economic players who are in the starting blocks to seize all these decisive opportunities. To decipher these new trends and understand their impact on the economy, but also our societies, our political systems and our Planet, VivaTech brings together for 4 days the best of innovation, ecosystems, stakeholders and economic decision-makers from more than 120 countries “. In addition to representatives from Asia, America and Africa, the 2024 edition will indeed welcome 30% more European countries compared to the previous year, including an unprecedented appearance from the United Kingdom. The country in the spotlight this year, Japan, will highlight its tech ecosystem with a delegation of institutions, businesses and start-ups. VivaTech will also be the scene of the awards ceremony for AfricaTech Awards for the third consecutive year.
2,500 start-ups, 2,000 investors and 350 companies
In all, more than 2,500 start-ups, 2,000 investors and 350 companies and organizations will be there, representing the 25 most dynamic sectors of activity on the market such as automobiles, health and finance.
VivaTech will also have the honor of receiving big names like John Kerry, former US climate envoy under the presidency of Joe Biden, and Charles Michel, President of the European Council, but also Serena and Venus Williams, Christel Heydemann, Chief Executive Officer of the Orange group, Linda Yaccarino, CEO of X, Mitchell Baker, Chairwoman & CEO of Mozilla and Faye Iosotaluno, CEO of Tinder.
