The best cars from the world’s biggest car show

The stage was colored with innovation and elegance at SEMA 2023, the most prominent automotive event in the world. In this dazzling exhibition, the most recognized brands and the most talented designers came together to showcase their most surprising and bold creations.

From custom high-performance vehicles to revolutionary concept cars, SEMA 2023 dazzled motorsports enthusiasts with a feast of technology and design. These are some of the best cars we saw at the 2023 SEMA show.

Slammed Sienna

I have a special place in my heart for any type of tuned minivan. This Toyota Sienna built by Rodney Esteban stole my heart the second I saw it.

The Sienna has a Lexus-like front fascia and Toyo Proxes high-performance all-season tires wrapped around Rays Wheels Homura 2X9 Plus wheels.

WRX inspired by Arizona tea

This car was not only unique for its beautiful bodywork, but also for its casualness. A few days before the expo, I was on the highway passing through Riverside, California, and saw this same car ahead of me in the carpool lane.

It’s crazy that a few days later I saw him once more in a room hundreds of kilometers away, among thousands of tuned cars at the gates of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Lexus GX Overland

Overlanding was a big topic for Lexus at this year’s SEMA, so much so that the brand invited three owners to show off their GXs. This 2009 GX470 was built by owner Chase Gardner.

The GX is a known reliable beast, and although Gardner has over 250,000 miles on it, it’s still going strong. It essentially has a full galley off the back hatch, with electric stove, pots and pans, even a 10-gallon water tank.

El Twerkstallion FC RX-7 de Hert

This is a rolling incarnation of JDM. Surprisingly, it’s not LS swapped either like most RX7s tend to be. Under the hood is a beast of a 13B-REW rotary engine. It’s not a show car either, as Hert continues to give it a go on a regular basis. As it should be.

A Durango Hellcat for drag racing

Some will think that something as big and heavy as a drag racing SUV is silly. However, there is no problem with something this crazy and even less so with this gutted and lowered Dodge Durango Hellcat that was displayed at Overdrive Gear Vendors.

The typical

Of course, SEMA was packed with plenty of Toyobaru sports coupes. Not all of them were great, but this gray GR86 wouldn’t look out of place at any gathering.
