The international high mass of video games opened on Wednesday in Cologne. With a strong Belgian delegation stimulated by new public aid tools for investment in the sector.

The world’s largest trade fair dedicated to video games, Gamescom, opened on Wednesday in Cologne, Germany, for five days dedicated to discovering new products in the sector and meetings between development studios, publishers and manufacturers.

The event was introduced on Tuesday evening with a ceremony revealing the big games planned for the end of the year or 2024as the next installment in the shooting game series “Call of Duty” (“Modern Warfare 3”), the new title in the Sonic series, the action game “Starfield” or the highly anticipated sequel to the horror and survival game “Alan Wake 2”. In total, the organization expects nearly 265,000 visitors, the largest number of which is expected on Saturday, the only day for which tickets are sold out. The attendance record was reached in 2019 with 373,000 fans.
