“The Belgian Government Officially Endorses Me as Candidate for President of the IPCC, Delighted to Announce”

The Belgian government has put forth the nomination of climatologist Mr. van Ypersele for the position of president of the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). On his Linkedin page, he expressed delight at the announcement and expressed his desire for the IPCC to be the voice of global climate change. He aims to make the IPCC the only entity not invited to speak during climate negotiations. The election for the position is set to occur in July 2023, with Mr. van Ypersele joining Jim Skea of Britain and Debra Cynthia Roberts of South Africa in the race.

“I am pleased to announce that the Belgian government has officially submitted my candidacy for the post of president of the IPCC”, rejoiced the climatologist in a publication on his Linkedin page. “I want the IPCC to be the global climate voice, the only stakeholder who is not invited to speak during climate negotiations.”

Mr van Ypersele will face Britain’s Jim Skea and South Africa’s Debra Cynthia Roberts.

It will certainly be exciting to see who will be elected as the next president of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) in July 2023. With the Belgian government officially submitting the candidacy of climatologist Jean-Pascal van Ypersele, he will be facing tough competition from Britain’s Jim Skea and South Africa’s Debra Cynthia Roberts.
