The BEL 20 and its neighbors remain on the defensive

After a brief passage in the green on Monday morning, the BEL 20 index joined its European neighbors by yielding 0.5% around eleven o’clock to 3,711 points with 15 of its elements in the red, Galapagos (38.35) in the lead with a decline of 2.9%.

Elia (104.10) followed with a drop of 1.5% along with Sofina (208.20) and Melexis (93.70) which dropped 1.2% each.

AB InBev (51.38) fell by 0.7%, KBC (68.90) and Ageas (38.03) by 0.1 and 0.2%, Aedifica (62.60) and UCB (79.56) being momentarily unchanged while arGEN-X (446.10) and Solvay (102.95) depreciated by 0.3 and 0.9%.

D’Ieteren (160.50) and Proximus (6.59) were worth 0.2% more than Friday, while Aperam (27.30) and Umicore (26.92) lost 1.1 and 0.5%.

Econocom (2.66) and Bpost (4.59) also rose by 1.9 and 2.1%, Roularta (15.80) and Van de Velde (34.00) by 1.3%; Accentis (0.0282) and Banimmo (3.70) on the other hand fell by 4.1 and 2.6%, Cenergy (6.75) and Sipef (55.30) by 1.3% like the BNB (576, 00).

ING (13.138) fell 2.3% but gained 0.3% if we take into account its detachment.

Mithra (2.75) and DMS Imaging (0.016) were finally positive by 9.3 and 6.7%, Celyad (0.55) gaining 7.4% unlike Biosenic (0.048) which fell by 7, 7%.

The euro stood at 1.0980 USD on Monday morning, once morest 1.1025 last Friday around 4:30 p.m. The bullion was trading around 56,700 euros, up 30 euros.
