On the borders of the Pyrenees, on the heights of Fort Lagarde, the inhabitants of Prats-de-Mollo-la-Preste attend an ancestral ritual every winter. Covered in fleeces, three young people from the village put themselves in the shoes of the bear. Celebrated in three communes of Haut Vallespir, the bear festival heralds the return of sunny days. It symbolizes the complex link that unites the Pyrenees to these animals that look so much like us.
