The Soyuz MS-21 separated from the Prichal nodal module of the Russian segment of the International Space Station on September 29, 2022 at 10:34 a.m. Moscow time. The deorbiting of the spacecraft and its descent to Earth took place in normal mode.

Oleg Artemyev to mark environ 561 days in total for three spaceflights and regarding 54 hours total for eight spacewalks. For Denis Matveyev and Sergei Korsakov, it was the first space flight. Denis Matveyev has logged more than 26 hours in total for four spacewalks.

During the 67th long-term expedition to the ISS, scientific and applied experiments were conducted, the Progress MS-20 cargo ship was received, five spacewalks were carried out under the Russian program to prepare the European ERA remote manipulator for operation outside the Naouka, a special-purpose laboratory module, and the station’s orbit corrections were performed six times by the Progress MS-20 engines.

The “Soyuz MS-21” spacecraft is named “SP Korolyov” in honor of Sergei Pavlovich Korolyov, chief designer of rocket and space technology, under whose leadership the Soyuz family of manned spacecraft was founded, which since 1966 has performed 172 vols.
