Al-Marsad newspaper: A report by the Israeli “Walla” website revealed that Defense Minister Yoav Galant had previously attempted to storm Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office in Kirya.
Battle of records
This comes due to a “battle over recordings” between offices, as the Prime Minister’s Office controls the system that records Cabinet meetings.
The site added, “It is known that everyone does not like that, and certainly not when he is in front of an investigation committee,” pointing out that “a senior member of Netanyahu’s team noticed in one of the cabinet sessions that one of Gallant’s men was sitting on a small bar, where the red light indicating “Live” recording was running, while this event caused a sensation and broke the “barometer” by which the level of mutual suspicion between offices (credibility) was measured.
Gallant tries to break into Netanyahu’s office
The report stated, “Since then, the situation has become worse, as Gallant actually tried to storm Netanyahu’s office in Kirya.”
The website quoted one witness: “It was one millimeter away from a brawl with many participants, including security guards and advisors.”
Golani power
He explained, “During this event, Gallant was heard informing Israeli Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer that next time he would bring the Golani force with him to restore order.”
The newspaper added in its report, “Netanyahu’s aides continued to swear that the prime minister was just looking for the right time to get rid of Gallant.”
