The batsmen of the national cricket team are shining the iron of their abilities

After ODI cricket, Babar Azam is showing his skills in the Test format as well and is making his name among the top players in the world.

Babar Azam, the batsman of the national cricket team, has surpassed Steve Smith and Virat Kohli by holding the record of highest average in Test matches over two years.

Steve Smith’s Test average is 62 while Virat Kohli’s average is 55. Babar Azam, the batsman of the national cricket team, has a Test average of 65 runs during the last two years.

Babar Azam has also become the seventh Pakistani batsman to score fifty or more in five consecutive innings of Test matches.

It was Babar’s fifth consecutive Test innings in which he crossed the 50 mark in the ongoing Test match against England. Before him, Zaheer Abbas, Saeed Anwar, Inzamam-ul-Haq, Mohammad Yousuf, Misbah-ul-Haq and Sarfraz Ahmed have also accomplished this feat.

These five innings of Babar Azam include three centuries and two half-centuries.

Babar Azam was the first player with the best average in Test matches played during the year 2018 and 2019.

Babar Azam’s run average was the highest among the players who scored at least 1000 runs during the matches played from January 1, 2018 to December 2019. During this period, the Pakistani middle order batsman has a run average of 61.60 compared to Steve Smith who was second with a run average of 60.00.

In this list, Babar Azam left behind the big names of cricket world Steve Smith, Virat Kohli, Kane Williamson and Joe Root.

Babar Azam also holds the record of fastest 1000 runs in T20. Virat Kohli achieved this feat in the 27th match of his career while Babar Azam achieved this feat in 26 matches.

Babar Azam has also achieved the record of fastest 11 centuries in ODI matches. Babar Azam is third in the list of fastest centuries scorers.

Former Maya South African batsman Hashim Amla has the honor of scoring 11 centuries in the least number of innings in ODI cricket. Keeper batsman Quinton de Kock is second in the list.

Virat Kohli hit his 11th century in the 82nd innings and was third in the list of fastest 11-centuries, but Babar Azam has pushed the Indian batsman to fourth place.
