Jessica Mila and Yakup Hasibuan will hold a wedding today, Friday (5/5/2023). However, in order to carry out the event, there are conditions that Yakup Hasibuan must meet.
These conditions were given by his father, Otto Hasibuan. He wants his son’s marriage to Jessica Mila to be held using the customs of his native region.
“From us, parents really hope that the event will be carried out according to Batak custom,” said Otto Hasibuan when contacted by the media crew, Thursday (4/5/2023).
According to Otto Hasibuan, the Batak customs that are applied at a wedding are not just a complement. He mentioned that there is a deep meaning from the series of events.
“The Batak tradition depicts love and brotherhood,” said Otto Hasibuan.
He also added that there is hope tucked in so that the child does not forget his hometown.
“Despite going to school as high as the sky, Batak customs and Indonesian culture must still be upheld,” he said.
The wedding is planned to take place at HKBP Rawamangun, East Jakarta. A series of events from the procession have been going on since April 29, 2023.
One such event was Mangain, when Jessica Mila acquired the Batak surname before marrying Yakup Hasibuan.
“Tomorrow the event starts at 10.30 WIB. Yesterday was the dress rehearsal. Today is rest,” said Otto Hasibuan.
