Emmanuel Macron was re-elected as President of the French Republic on Sunday April 24. A hard pill to swallow for François Ruffin. The documentary filmmaker and deputy Insoumis surprised everyone this Thursday, April 28 by qualifying President Emmanuel Macron as “bastard” by François Hollande on France Inter.
In the followingmath of this election, the deputy was obviously questioned regarding the state of the French political left, unable to unite before the presidential election. François Ruffin nevertheless sees in these elections a famous step forward. “Today, there is a flag of the left which is high, which can shine when it might no longer exist”, begins the deputy before tackling the president. “When we had five years of Holland, and his heir, his son, or his bastard, Emmanuel Macron, is presented as being the continuity of this left, it might be rolled in the country. And it’s not.”
The deputy, however, recognized the election of Emmanuel Macron. He considers it as legitimate, but carrying a minority project. Ruffin alert and wary of the “tense time we are entering”.
