The “Banknote” pawn shop network is expanding: two new stores are opening in Vilnius | Business

One of the newly opened “Banknote” pawnshops is located in the active area of the city center, on Kalvariju st. 98, and the other – Savanorių pr. 33. With the start of operation of two new branches, the “Banknote” network in Lithuania consists of 7 pawnshops.

Didzis Admidinšas, Chairman of the Board of DelfinGroup, emphasizes that half a year following the start of operations in Lithuania, the company notices a growing demand for the offered services. In order to earn additional income, Lithuanian residents have so far most actively used the opportunity to sell their neat used and little-used items in Banknote stores. The possibility of obtaining a loan once morest collateral is also actively used.

“Our accumulated experience in the Latvian market provides an invaluable basis for rapid development in the neighboring country as well, so it is natural that we seek to expand the Banknote network to be even closer to our customers.” It is obvious that the principles of the circular economy are also important for Lithuanian residents who are thinking regarding how to use and “put into circulation” things that are no longer needed on the farm. In the long run, this approach encourages choosing a little-used item, instead of immediately buying a new one, and thus saving natural resources,” says D. Admidinšas.

Currently, residents can only present goods for sale directly in stores, and in the near future Banknote customers will be offered the opportunity to sell items online. Currently, there is a retail online store in Lithuania and Latvia, which has more than 55,000 used and tested goods.

Lithuanian residents value little-used household appliances, such as mobile phones and audio equipment, the most. There is also a demand for valuables, especially gold products, in the branches. The demand for pawnshop services is also increasing every month.

The company will start providing consumer loans

In July of this year, DelfinGroup’s subsidiary UAB DelfinGroup LT received a license from the Bank of Lithuania to provide consumer loan services. Therefore, in addition to collateralized loans, in the third quarter of this year DelfinGroup will start offering consumer loan services on the Lithuanian market both online and in Banknote branches.

D.Admidinšas says: “We work by providing individualized, understandable and accessible financial services in the Lithuanian market, where not only strong digital solutions, but also a network of physical stores play an important role. Therefore, we see opportunities to further expand Banknote’s geographical coverage in Lithuania in the future.”
