Its director, Jane Campion, won the best director, amid the applause of the film’s heroes who attended the ceremony, while Will Smith won the best actor for his role in the movie “King Richard”, beating Benedict Cumberbatch, Mahershala Ali and Leonardo DiCaprio, while star Joanna Scanlan won the Best Actress for her role in “After Love” outperformed many of the nominees, including Lady Gaga and Renata Rensive.
American star Troy Coaster won the Best Supporting Actor Award for his co-starring in the movie “Coda,” while his compatriot Arina Debus won the Best Supporting Actress award for her role in “West Side Story,” directed by veteran Steven Spielberg.
As for the rest of the competition awards, the award was given to “Enchato” as the best animated film, outperforming its competitors “Luce” and “Escape,” while the James Bond movie “No Time To Die” won the “BAFTA” award for the best editing, and the movie “No Time To Die” won the “Best Editing” award.
